Desroches Island Hotel description

LOCATION:
Desroches Island is the largest of the Amirantes island group (around 7 kilometres long and 2 kilometres wide) and are roughly 200 kilometres southwest of Mahé. Around 50 people live on the island permanently and it is the only inhabited coral islands of the Amirantes.
Flight time to Mahé: about 40 minutes

TRANSFER NOTE:
From/to Mahé with an English speaking guide at the airport. Storage place for luggage is limited: maximum 15 kg per person; „soft luggage”, no aluminium or hard protection cases.

HOTEL DESCRIPTION:
Desroches Island offers a large tropical garden with lovely corners to linger. Some of the facilities available include an entrance hall with small lounge and reception, boutique, open air bar “L’Amirante” with billiard table and terrace with freshwater pool and kid’s pool as well as beach (loungers, sun shades, towels free of charge), the elegant main restaurant “Le Ve Loutier” and beauty and wellness centre. On nice days the beach restaurant is open. A new addition is the pan Asian grill restaurant as well as “Takamaka”-Bar. Further a free wireless internet station has been included in the lobby. The new spa area offers a comprehensive range of massages and beauty treatments.
Great bathing days can be enjoyed along the 10 kilometres sandy beach. The countless diving grounds invite you to explore the fascinating underwater world of the Seychelles.

NUMBER OF ROOMS: 45 suites

ACCOMMODATION:

Beach Suite: (around 82 m² including 30 m² terrace); there are 10 chalets and each has two suites. The houses are directly at the beach and blend in perfectly with the tropical landscape. They are lavishly furnished with splendid wood features. Further there is a large double bed with mosquito net, bathroom with hair drier, outdoor shower and bath tub, bidet and separate toilet, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, mini bar, telephone, Sat TV as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Large terrace with sea view. Two bicycles per suite are provided.
Maximum occupancy: 2 adults + 1 child

Beach Retreat (formerly Beach Villa): (around 124 m²); fitted with a master en-suite bedroom with sea view, indoor and outdoor shower, iPod docking station, Wi-Fi internet as well as a terrace with plunge pool. With butler service.
Maximum occupancy: 2 adults.

4-Bedroom Beach Villa (formerly Luxury Beach Villa): (around 440 m² total area); all villas have a private terrace (around 30 m²) with sea view. They provide three large bedrooms (around 74 m²) with sea view and a children’s bedroom (around 43 m²) without sea view, each with en-suite bathroom/toilet, a fully fitted kitchen as well as a large living and dining area with Sat TV, DVD player and iPod connection. Furthermore the furnishings include a large lounge and a private infinity pool. There are two kayaks and bicycles for the whole family available. With butler service.
Maximum occupancy: 6 adults + 2 children.

Dibwa Retreat: (around 528 m² total area); features as “Beach Retreat”, though with two master en-suite bedrooms with sea view.
Maximum occupancy: 4 adults.

5-Bedroom Dibwa Residence (formerly Presidential Beach Front Villa): (around 776 m² total area); features as “4-Bedroom Beach Villa”, though with four bedrooms with sea view (around 50 m²) and a children’s bedroom without sea view (around 40 m²), each with en-suite bathroom/toilet as well as a private swimming pool and two private plunge pools.
Maximum occupancy: 8 adults + 2 children.

3-Bedroom Madam Zabre Spa Retreat: (total size around 637 m²); consists of three master bedrooms with sea view and en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower, plunge pools and salas as well as a private Spa room with personal Spa consultant.
Maximum occupancy: 6 adults.

CATERING:
All Inclusive: Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet in the main restaurant, tea and coffee, local alcoholic drinks and beers, soft drinks and house wines as well as non motorised water sport (see SPORTS).
In the new villas In-Villa Dining is possible subject to charge (payment at resort).

SPORTS AND LEISURE:
Inclusive: Windsurfing, pedal boat, kayak/canoe, snorkelling, cycling, table tennis, tennis court with floodlight, billiard.
Charge: PADI diving in numerous exquisite diving areas, big game fishing, boat trips to neighbouring Amirantes Islands (Outer Islands).

Charge: In Desroches Island Spa traditional Asian massage techniques are offered in a floral surrounding. Beauty treatments that relax body and soul complement the offer.
